Our Christmas Letter
Happy Holidays!!
First of all…where did 2008 go? This year went entirely too fast. We have had lots of fun and great experiences that we would like to share with you and keep you up to date on the Williams family household!
Chad and Laura finished their first marathon together on October 3 in St. George. It was a difficult but rewarding experience and we loved the time we spent running together during our training. We also went on lots of fun trips together this year and the highlight was our Washington D.C. tour. We also visited Gettysburg, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia Beach and other historic places. One of our most favorite places was our trip to the Washington D.C. Temple. It was awesome. As a family we hiked the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, and lots of other local National Parks. We love to take day trips and go on fun treks as a family.
Chad continues serving in the National Guard with the 65th Fires Brigade at Camp Williams. He is still with Central Utah Counseling and enjoys helping lots of people at his job.
Laura has carried on her 4-h service and is involved with the Ambassadors, teaching various clubs, and the Advisory Council. We were honored as the 4-h family of the year for our county which was fun. I included a play I wrote (on the back) for our ward party. I adapted it from Henry Van Dyke’s The Fourth Wise Man and thought I would share it with you.
Talon loves the Madrigal Choir at SSHS, is involved with Ambassadors, and is doing great at Karate. He is on the high honor roll and thinks he might get his driver’s license in April. Hmmmm….we’ll see. As a bonus, he was chosen Teen-Leader of the Year in 4-H for our county.
Aubree is 13 and loves Young Women’s. She has completed lots of projects and plans to have her award very soon. She is involved in a singing group, piano lessons, “Little-Women” club and other fun activities. She still loves to read and make up stories and she is a great student.
Raina is almost 11 and can’t wait to be in Young Women’s. She is gifted in singing, piano playing, poetry writing and being pleasant. She participated in the county fair and won lots of blue ribbons for baking, embroidery, & floral design, and won her division for a piano solo.
Brandt is excited to be baptized soon and will be 8 in April. He is a yellow-belt in karate, loves to play soccer, baseball, football, and most of all do tricks on the trampoline. He is vibrant and energetic.
We have been very blessed this year and wish all of you health and happiness. May the Lord bless you and your families.
