Do you ever feel like your head is in a box? And your body is somewhere else?

This is what we found in the sandbox when we were cleaning this spring.

A graveyard full of midgets.

Talon's first car.

Last Sunday Talon was ordained a priest and we had a celebration in his honor and for Brandt's eight birthday. We were so happy to have Grandma Janet and Grandpa Ron and Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Val come up to visit with us and have dinner. It was a special day!

Eight is great

At 13:oo hours the Williams home turned into Camp Williams with a secret mission to accomplish---Boot Camp Birthday!!! with an obstacle course, grenade launching range, target practice, low crawling, pinata beating, finding the lost platoon, and some great R&R. Private Brandt turned 8 years old on April 13 and we accomplished the mission of celebrating.

Passover Dinner~

A tradition at our home is to celebrate passover at Easter time. All of the food is symbolic of the miracles that occurred in the Old Testament story of Moses and the Israelites.

The bitter herbs represent the bitterness of slavery--the salt water are the tears shed because of bondage--the charoset (apples and walnuts) because of the bricks and mortar the Israelites had to produce--the unleavened bread because they escaped Egypt as quickly as possible--the parsley because God is the God of the universe and of all life--the egg because of new life in God--the grape juice represents the blood of the paschal lamb--and the lamb because the Messiah is the Lamb of God.

This celebration of the passover helps us remember the significance of Easter and our appreciation of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This picture of the baby robins were some I took last spring. A mama-bird built her nest in one of our evergreen trees and it was just low enough that we could spy on them. We brought out the step stool so Brandt could observe them very quietly and he checked them everyday. Mama-bird would get a little upset at us, but we didn't ever touch them so all the babies grew up big and before we knew it they were fledglings, and flew away. It was a wonderful little miracle that we got to observe right in our backyard.

The chilly feel of winter is lingering still....

However, we are beginning to spy bits of spring....

It gives us hope that sunshine will return again...

The soul has moments of escape
When, bursting all the doors,
She dances like a bomb abroad,
And swings upon the hours
As do the bee, delirious borne,
Long dungeoned from his rose,
Touch liberty---then know no more
But noon and paradise.
Emily Dickinson
Happy Spring!

My Sister, My friend!

We got a chance to meet my sis and bro for dinner while we have been staying in Salt Lake. It was so nice to visit and share good food at the Olive Garden (my favorite) with them. We really should have had dessert though...next time!
