It's been a busy week and I can't believe that January has gone by so fast. Talon went to SLC for an Honor Choir trip and performed at Abravenel Hall with a bunch of other kids. He said it sounded awesome and he had a great time. We didn't go up because the BYU Ambassadors performed at the SVC and we already had tickets. It is so nice when an exceptional group like that comes to this culturally starved area.

Aubree has been tying quilts like a madwoman. She loves to make them to donate to humanitarian. Raina has been reading lots of books and practicing the piano diligently. Brandt is bouncing on the tramp or the exercise ball almost all day long. We have been so lucky this year (knock on wood) and have escaped so far without too much sickness, only a few colds. I for one am looking forward to warmer weather. It will be nice to see the daffodils and tulips start to come up. I want to get an early start on my garden also and get some peas and lettuce planted. It is so lovely to have your own produce for dinner. Ooohhhh....just thinking about it makes me excited. I have been pouring through the seed catalogs and picking some things out. Bring on the sunshine!

I'm glad you could get so excited about gardening--could that rub off on me?
About BYU--I love it when great shows come to town. Did you get season tickets for the other good upcoming shows?
I laughted when I read "culture-starved"--so true. I'm glad you guys live here and add some culture to our area! I miss that about the big city.
