2012 Christmas Letter

“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!”  Charles Dickens ~ A Christmas Carol

It is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens and in his words, we would like to share a bit of the past, present and future from the home of the Williams Family.

Brandt is our basketball boy. He won 3 gold medals and 1 silver at the Utah Summer Games this summer. At Snow College basketball camp, he was named the MVP for scoring the winning free throws which gave his team the championship. This fall, he won the Hoop-Shoot contest so he gets to go to state in January! His nickname at school is “La Brandt”. He’s a great kid with lots of enthusiasm.

Raina plays the piano and is now teaching! She entered SSHS  and has enjoyed running on the Cross Country team where she had the opportunity to run with her team at state. In the fall, Raina was a ‘bird-girl’ in the musical “Suessical” where she had a blast performing in a bright pink wig. Raina stays busy working on student council as a freshman officer and has fun with lots of friends.

Aubree got her first job in April and she works at Bullies serving up burgers and fries with a smile. She also spends a lot of time working as Junior class secretary, 4-H teen council and ambassadors, National Honor Society, yearbook, and many other fun and exciting things. She also performed in the Suessical Musical and was a Bird Girl extraordinaire donning an electric blue wig.

Talon is now Elder Williams. He was called to serve in the Santa Rosa, California Mission on departed in June. Previous to this, he spent a year at Southern Utah University and had a great learning experience. He loves his mission and loves the people he is serving with. He knows that God has called him to the work and he has devoted his whole heart and soul to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Chad and Laura are older and wiser…mostly wiser. J We spent some time in New England this summer and thoroughly enjoyed visiting Concord, Boston, Lexington, Plymouth, and other historic places in Massachusetts. Chad retired from the National Guard in May after 20+ years of service.  He is still the Team Leader at CUCC and has also started a private practice called Discovery Counseling. Laura continues to love teaching at Leadership Education Academy which is an online school and she loves her students.

Our final wish to you was also penned by Dickens: “God bless us, every one!”

With love,

Chad, Laura, Talon, Aubree, Raina, and Brandt Williams
