America the Beautiful! We traveled through Monument Valley and Four Corners on our way home. It was exciting for the kids to be in four states at the same time. We had a nice time visiting with some people from the Navajo Nation. The girls each got a turquoise necklace and Brandt picked out an arrow with a real arrow-head in it which he thinks is awesome. Talon chose a key ring...I wonder why? He thinks he will be the predominant driver of a really cool red van, but we will see come April.

Four Corners: Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona

Natural Bridges National Monument was celebrating their 100th year anniversary, so we were able to participate in some really neat activities. The girls made a sand art picture and ground corn with a mat-ate. The boys tried their hand at the Atal-atal. I am happy that we don't have to count on their hunting skills at this point.... we would be vegetarians.

Kachina Arch
The Lake Powell area was stunning with all the red mountains and blue of the Colorado River.

Oh man, you're really making me miss it there! Not much to look at here in Houston. Beautiful pictures! How neat and educational for the kids too. When it gets cold there you should plan your next trip here to the Space Center and Sea World and beach, etc. You'll always have a place to stay. :)
