Colonial Williamsburg

Hi Kids! We drove over to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown last night. We only got to walk through Williamsburg because it got dark on us, but it is so awesome! We will visit here again when we all come back as a family. Jamestown dates back to 1632--Wow! Try to learn some things about Pocahontas and what it was like in Jamestown. Yorktown is where Cornwallis surrendered to Washington during the Revolutionary War. Williamsburg is the town where the old college of William and Mary is. Pretty neat, huh!

There were lots of shops and cute window displays to look through.

Yes, we went to the candy shop and yes I bought chocolate...lots of it. I am going to bring some home for you too : )

The old buildings are beautiful and I think the lovely architecture is so interesting.

Guess who this is a statue of? Yep, Thomas Jefferson. I learned that he could read for 15 hours straight. Amazing! He must have been the inventor of read-a-thons.

Lots of the store windows had Christmas decorations in them. I am so excited for Christmas now! I want to come home and decorate the house with all of our garland and pretty things.
I think we should call our home and 1/2 acre "Williamsburg". Lots of people name their property, so what do you think? We have lots of cool Williams' living there in Monroe, so I think it should be our own little burg.
Keep being good for Grandma and Grandpa. Have fun playing with your friends. Make sure Brandt is safe and be obedient. Love and hugs to you all. Mom
