Super Saturday Weekend

I was in charge of our wards "Super Saturday" and fortunately it turned out alright. It can be a bit stressful trying to please a bunch of Relief Society Ladies for the their annual Pre-Christmas craft day. I was most grateful for the help of my dear husband who helped set up tables and chairs and brought the lasagne down to the church promptly at lunch time. Then he helped take out trash and finish the clean-up when it was all over. He is the greatest. The whole family helped also, which was very nice. Talon didn't even grumble too much! and the girls watched lots of babies and kids in the nursery, so the whole fam got to participate in Super Saturday.

I am hosting my book club this month and I chose Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. It is the perfect book for this time of year and it is so inspiring. I absolutely loved it and want to have a family culture like theirs. I want Marme's wisdom and Jo's wit, Amy's beauty and grace and Meg's lovely countenance. I also want to be like Beth in her quiet, unassuming way. At any rate, it is a delightful book and full of warmth and wisdom.

These are my "Fair-Feathered-Friends". I love chickens and they make me laugh. They all come running when they see me because I am the Bringer-Of-Food. The kids also take good care of them. Last winter, Brandt would bundle up and take out fresh water and food early every morning. He was so good to be responsible and helpful. We are proud of our little guy.

I think you have all those qualities exemplified by the best characters in "Little Women."
Glad Super Saturday went so well and that you had such good help from your fine family.
Pretty chickens!

Hummmm, your description of the Little Women, some how reminds me of a beautiful brown-haired girl I know! You have them all! Last week you ran 26 plus miles and this week you take on the Relief Society Sisters...now that is courage. I know each sister recieved much inspiration, 'cause that is always how you prepare things..
The picture of you and your chicks is so cute! You really have a colorful little flock.
